Coaching Course's Classic Coaching

It is important that Martial Arts Instructors, particularly those dealing with children and young adults up to 18yrs, are able to demonstrate that they have appropriate qualifications, criminal records checks and insurance. The Shi Kon coaching qualification level 1 is available to cover all requirements for registration please contact Martin Gatter at http://www.classiccoaching.com for dates and times of the next course. This is open to any student who wants to teach others in class.

National Vocation Qualification

N V Q Coaching Teaching and Instruction Level 2 Qualification is available for Karate, Ju Jitsu and Chinese Martial Arts, Shi Kon is an accredited centre with city and guilds to deliver NVQ in Coaching. Grading Syllabus Training

DVD One

This is the first dvd introducing the student to the basis's.9th Kyu takes the beginner studentfrom white belt to red belt included are all the techniques performed at a speed to clearly see how this is archived.Basic punch and kick Techniques are coveredThe eight gate method of movementThe centre line and foot workDefecting handsTraining methods.

This dvd is designed to supplement class tuition.

DVD Two

In dvd two the student is taken through all of the techniques from red belt to yellow belt.In this dcd are the Renkai which are the punch kick combination's in sets of three developing fluidity whilst changing from the straight line to the circle.The Ippon Kumite are broken down for ease of learning with clear and precise explanation given these are the first set of pairs work the student learns where structure and distancing are covered.The Kata Uke Waza is performed slowly and is also broken down for the student to see the details within this form.Bunkai the application to kata is also included to assist the student on idea's of the Kata usage.

DVD Three

DVD three focuses on the techniques enabling the student to identity the necessary skills for attaining their next grade. The student is taken through the syllabus from yellow belt to orange belt with clear instructions and demonstrations on key points. The dvd includesRenkai Punch kick combinations of four's

Bunkai application to the idea of Kata

DVD Four

DVD four focus's on the use of the elbow firstly in the Renkai section followed by the use of the elbow within the Kata. In section one the student is taken through the combinations (Renkai) punch knee and elbow techniques there are four sets in this section. Section two is the last of the Ippon Kumite which is 9 to 12 . The pairs work are shown in detail the key points in developing the correct skills to advance from orange belt to green belt. The kata Empi Geri Waza is demonstrated in depth both from the front and side also included in this dvd is Bunkai application to kata.

DVD Five

This DVD contains all the 5th Kyu grading techniques to assist in class tuition. Sanshin the kata is demonstrated both in the energizing and the ballistic version with clear instruction on key points. The Tegumi section focuses on the 6 key hand drills through the eight gate method with added use of Ippon Kumite, Kensetsu and Nage Waza. The key points are again broken down for the student to identify the use of angles and shifting of the stances.

DVD Six

This contains all the 4th Kyu grading techniques to assist with class tution and is desingned to supplement class training. All of the techniques are preformed in a basic way for technical ability to be achieved with clear instruction on key points to fascilitate learning and developing skills.
